Paddock Wood AC had just 3 teams entered in the Kent County Relays held at Medway Park on Sunday. With one short in the U13 boys due to footballing commitments, the U13 boys’ team had to be scrapped. The U15 boys had high hopes of making the final but one member had to pull out due to injury at the last minute and there was no time to find a substitute. This left the girls teams. In the 3x800m Jess Rayner (2m 51.1s) Emma Townend (3m00.7s) a PB and Izzy Rayner (3m 04.9s) came in 8th in a straight final. The U13 girls 4x100m team Charlotte Parker, Abigail Exall, Jess Penny and Molly Brown qualified in their heat for the final in 3rd place (57.2s). In the final, although in a slower time (57.7s), they finished in Bronze medal position a great achievement against the other top clubs in Kent, just 0.2 off the Silver medal. The U15 girls ran a straight final. They all ran great legs but changeovers unfortunately lost them places. 7th (57.2s)
Trevor Crysell competed in the Masters jumps on the same day, just making it for round 3 in the long jump due to the horrendous traffic jams compiled by the M20 closure. He had one jump in the 3rd round which qualified him for another 3 jumps. He claimed the Bronze medal 4.54m. He won another Bronze in the triple jump 9.37m.
