Good conditions apart from a stiff breeze on the return leg from Ramsgate harbour. This is a fun race on the beach on sand, shingle, rocks and the edge of the surf between Broadstairs and Ramsgate Harbour, where the marshalls insists on all runners banging the wall – hence the name! Highly recommended but an early start to catch the tide at 9.30am.
