James O’Gorman for Paddock Wood AC had an outstanding Kent Championships winning two gold medals and one Silver Medal and achieving three Personal bests. His first win was in the Shot Putt with a PB of 10.36m, his next win was in the Discus with another PB of 32.63m, and the Silver came in the Hammer with a throw of 33.28m, some 6m more than his previous PB. Mason Doyle claimed Gold in the High Jump with 1.80 below his best but enough to win. Angela Martin won the 3000m walk in (18m 50.74s). Not far off her personal best. Husband Martin claimed a Silver Medal in the Men’s 3000m walk (16m17.49s). Samantha Hockey in her first year as an U15 took part in the Javelin 15.28m and 100m (14.83s). Hopefully once the clubs track is open athletes will be able to train of a proper surface instead of grass which will improve their results.
