It was a great weekend for Mason Doyle of Paddock Wood A.C competing in the U/20 High Jump in the Kent County Champs at the Julie Rose Stadium Ashford. It is Mason’s first year as a U/20 but he rose to the challenge becoming County Champion with a PB of 1.91m. Elizabeth Duffin came close to being the Senior ladies Javelin County Champion for the 2nd year in a row, but had to settle for the Silver medal this year throwing 27.60m. Angela Martin claimed a Silver Medal in the Senior Women’s 3000m walk in a time of (19m 15.5s) and husband Malcolm won a Bronze Medal in the Senior Men’s 3000mW (16m.11.09s). James O’Gorman, returning to athletics after 4 months off with a broken collar bone, competed in the U/15 Discus throwing a new weight. He threw a PB of 27.73m to finish 4th. He also competed in the Shot, again a new weight, coming 5th with 8.38m.
