Richard Harris was denied an individual M70 bronze medal as he ran unselfishly as an M60 team member. The M60 team was fourth behind Blackheath and Bromley Harriers, Sevenoaks and Canterbury Harriers and missed the team bronze by just six points. It was a shame that a few more grown-ups could not be tempted as there were certainly team medal shots. Alan Newman finally took his first Kent masters title, after supporting these events for over 20 years.
