Only 4 adult members and 1 junior member made the long trek to Bettshanger Country Park Deal to run in the 7th and last race of this’s season’s KFL. This was only to be expected as the race clashed with the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon.
Liam O’Neil had another good run coming home in 3rd place. Liam had a great season and finished 2nd U/11 boy overall.
Our 4 adult runners 3 men and 1 lady all had good runs with Steve Roberts our first runner home in 34th place (33.17) James Graves son of Paul and a hidden gem was next home in 82nd place, Paul Graves finished in 116th place (40.35). Our only lady Melissa Ferns was 58th lady (47.46)
PWAC’s combined team finished 14th on the day. The clubs lady finished 17th team on the day. In the overall league table for the season our combined team finished a very creditable 6th place with the ladies team finishing 8th.

Overall we had 8 junior club members run the KFL junior races over the season and they will all receive certificates, 5 will receive mementos for finishing 3 or more races.
We had 38 different adult runners competing this season and for that we are most grateful, 24 men and 14 ladies. 8 men finished in 5 or more races with 4 ladies finishing 5 or more races.
Melissa Ferns has the honour of being the only club runner this season to compete in and finish all 7 KFL races, very well done Melissa.
Colin Tricker was excellent all season and finished in 3rd place in the male championship. Emma Holland also had a very good season and ended the season runner up in the F40 championship.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the athletes who competed this season young and old as well as all the supporters.
It is our belief that next season the clubs team’s (combined and ladies) can with your support finish in the league’s top 5 and we look forward to being your team managers again (if you will have us)
