KFL – Swanley Park – Report – 8th November 2015

Sunday 8th November (Remembrance Sunday) saw the second round of the Kent Fitness League take place at Swanley Park.

Paddock Wood AC had five junior members and 20 adult members out representing the club.

John Janse and Dillon Drew took part in theU11boys race finishing 7th and 12th respectively. In the U13boys race Evan Wild and Benjamin Barrett finished in 4th and 8th place respectively. Keeping up his fine form and going one place better than the last race Luke Reeves won the U17boys race.

At 11:00am just over 500 runners getting ready to for the main race observed a minute’s silence under leaden skies.

First home for the club in the main race once again was Colin Tricker in 6th place followed by Martin Taylor 40th.

Tina Oldershaw running as a guest for the club after being classed as elite was the first Paddock Wood lady home, this meant Sarah Shepherd was our first scoring lady home after a hard fought race as 5th lady. Making up the ladies team where Emma Holland and Jane Dew.

Former Champion Steve Roberts was the clubs first V50 man home and along with Colin and Martin the rest of the men’s team where Pete Buckingham, Mark Wild, Stuart Cawse, John Tilston, Lloyd Roberts and the clubs 2nd scoring V50 Tim Versey Smith.

Stuart Clause, Lloyd Roberts and Jade Searle where all making there KFL debut’s.

The combined team result meant PWAC finished 10th out of 18, with the ladies team finishing 5th out of 18.

Obviously we cannot mention everyone but well done to you all. A special mention must go to the 3 runners who had taken part in the Poppy Half Marathon the previous day Pete Buckingham, Fiona Buckingham and Emma Holland and also to Lorna Goldup who saved a marvellous sprint finish for the end.
