KXCL Danson Park – Report – 25th November 2017

On 25th November the penultimate Kent Cross Country League event #4 saw us venture to Danson Park.   The view around the lake was beautiful yet bitterly cold but that didn’t stop the ladies coming out in force.  The icing on the cake was having 6 hardcore ladies taking part.

149 ladies took part today.  Becky Morrish was first team member home for PWAC in 19:58 (21st) closely followed by Elise Rendall in 20:27 (26th).  Completing the team scoring for the first three home was Emma Hollands in 21:30 (43rd).  But the girl power didn’t stop there with a further three more ladies completing a team of six to score, Fiona Buckingham completing in 23:31 (89th) and great teamwork supporting each other throughout by Julie Harker 27:17 (128th) and Jane Pilbeam in 27:21 (129th).

The ladies (3 to score) are now sitting comfortably in 7th position on 90 points, just 1 point behind Tunbridge Wells. Their 6 to score position is 10th on 436 points.  Well done ladies, it’s great to see you out there taking part, let’s make go all out for the finale on Sat 10th Feb at Sparrows Den (no junior races).

Happy running folks!
