Three teams from Paddock Wood AC competed in the Kent Relay Championships at Norman Park Bromley on Sunday. All three teams broke existing club records.
The U/13 boys team, consisting of Alex Stone, Harvey Fordham, Liam Simms and Alex Gray ran their heat in (56.2s) coming 2nd to qualify for the final. In the final they ran (55.4s) finishing 4th breaking a club record that has stood since 1992.
The U15 girls team – Kimberley Garcia, Phoebe Rennie, Grace King and Sophie Tallon, also qualified for the final 3rd in heat 2 ( 55.5s). In the final they finished 4th (56.1s) .Their time in the heats broke the U15 girl’s 4X100m club record which had stood since 1996.
Finally the U17 boys James O’Gorman, Harry Mills, Finlay Hollyer and Leon Depreli had a straight final to run and although finishing in 6th place they still managed to break another club record which had stood from 1999 (47.9s).
