PWAC Press Report – 17th July 2023

It was the 3rd match in the Kent Young Athletes league on Saturday held at Medway Park Gillingham. Even with the extremely strong winds there were several PBs. The biggest of the day was in the U13 girl’s hammer where Jessica Patterson threw the hammer 13.80m to win the event, a PB by 5.14m.Plus it was a new club record. She ran another PB in her 150m 26.7s and threw the javelin 8.63m. Lucy Burrow-Cloude won the shot 6.90m and Kelsie Allcorn won the B string with a PB of 6.06m. Kelsie ran a PB in her 75m 10.9s and jumped 3.94m in her long jump. Jola Fasakin equalled her PB in the long jump 3.16m, ran 23.1s in her 150m. She did the non-scoring shot 5.15m. Abigail Seal ran a PB in her 75m finishing 2nd in the B race 10.8s. In the U13 boys Max Rein ran a PB in his 100m 15.6s, ran a 200m for the first time 31.7s and jumped 3.51m in the long jump. Jonah Fernandes ran 14.7s in his 100m and 33.1s in the 200m, he jumped 3.34m in the long jump. U15 Thiago Marinez came 2nd in his 100m 12.1s, he did the shot for the first time 7.96m and jumped 4.67m a PB in the long jump. Nathan Palmer threw a PB in his javelin 18I.92m threw another PB in the discus 15.90m and did the shot 6.06. In the U15 girls Megan Rein jumped a PB in the long jump 4.09m, she ran 16.6s for her 75m hurdles and ran 14.4s in her 100m race. Abigail Palmer threw the hammer 14.50m, the shot 4.87m and jumped 3.73m in the long jump.
