Paddock Wood ACs Harriet Court won the U17 Kent County Championship heptathlon at the weekend at Medway Park Gillingham. She won with a points total of 4178 a new club record and 5 personal bests. It started with the 80mH 13.71sa PB followed by the high jump 1.48m a PB, the shot 10m.61m, the 200m 28.85s a PB. Harriet jumped another PB in the long jump 4.78m. Due to an elbow injury it was a below par javelin 35.40m but it meant 186 extra points than her nearest rival. She ran a 12s PB in her 800m 2m 23.9s.to clinch the Championship.

In the Masters Championships W60 Teresa Hinton became a triple Kent Champion claiming the title in her hammer 22.02m a PB, the shot 7.52m a SB and the 100m 18.44s.M70 Les Percival won a silver in the 100m 16.08s, a bronze in the 200m 31.89s and another Bronze in the 400m 76.06s. W40 Elizabeth Bignell won the javelin 22.27m and came 2nd in the hammer 24.46m.

In the U13s Kent championship Lucy Burrows –Cloude won a silver medal in the shot 6.82m and ran 11.20s in the 75m. Kathleen Knight Misson ran her 75m in 10.78s a PB. She jumped a PB in the long jump 4.40m coming 5thand ran the 150m 21.60s.Ellen Simmons ran a PB in her 60mH 14.36s. Jola Fasakin jumped 3.27 a PB in the long jump, and ran the 75m 11.43s. Jonah Fernandes was the club’s only boy competing he jumped a PB in the long jump 4.00m and ran the 100m 14.91s.
