PWAC Press Report – 23rd July 2019

Despite being a depleted team, at the last match in the Lower Youth Development league held at Mile End, Paddock Wood AC in a composite team with Folkestone RC, had some good results. There was a double win in the U13 boy’s javelin when Joe Stone won the A string 30.09m and Joseph Hyland 1st in the B 26.70m a PB. Joseph also ran a PB in his 800m 2m54.4s and ran the 75m hurdles in 15.2s. Felix Wright ran the A race in the 800m in 2m 40.0s. Joe Stone ran the 200m carrying a slight injury coming 2nd 27.8s and did the long jump 4.21m. Harry Collette in only his second competition putt a PB in the shot 6.33m. Thanks to Harry the boys managed to form a 4x100m team finishing 6th 60.84s.  In the U15 boys it was a win for Alex Stone in the discus 29.79m. Alex threw a PB in the javelin 34.98m and ran another PB in the 300m 42.6s. Liam Simms coming back from a 12hour coach journey the day before ran a PB in his 300m 41.54s and came close to his PB in the 200m 26.5s. Twins Izzy and Jess Rayner tried to cover some extra events. Both ran the 200m Izzy the A 31.7 and Jess the B 33.4s. Jess a middle distance runner did the 1500m 5m 52.2s she also covered the shot an event she had not done before 4.58m. Izzy ran the 800m 2m 57.8s a PB and threw the javelin 18.08m.
