PWAC Press Report – 30th May 2022

Last Sunday, just 4 U20 athletes travelled to Woodford Green for the 2nd in the YDL upper age group match. With start of the half term many were away. Alex Stone won the discus 32.18m a PB, he won the B javelin 34.92m and jumped in the non-scoring long jump 5.67m. Harvey Fordham won his high jump 1.85m, he won the B long jump 5.71m and the B discus an event he has not competed in before 20.15m.Alex Gray won the triple jump 13.49ma PB  and came 2nd in the long jump 6.05m.  Jason Davis ran the 100m 12.06s a SB and the 200m 24.02s and won the B triple jump 9.69m. Davis, Stone, Fordham and Gray ran the 4x100m relay in 46s a new club record, in fact it was the fastest time set by a Paddock Wood Club team since records began.  Elsewhere Sara Rowen competed in the Bedgebury 10 mile race coming in 1st Vet F60 in 1:38:36 and Tom Livesey did the 5mile Bedgebury race finishing 4th 34:54. The previous week David Perman won the M70 shot 4.94m at the Cambridge Harriers open meeting at Sutcliff Park.
