For the first time for over a decade, Paddock Wood AC entered teams into the Kent County relays, which took place at Medway Park Gillingham the previous Sunday. Out of the four teams entered, three qualified for their respective finals. In the U/13 Girls 4x100m the team of Grace King, Martha Peachey, Mollie Dew, Charlotte Whiffen, thanks to a storming last leg by Charlotte, finished in the 3rd place (60.6s) to qualify for the final. In the final they ran exactly the same time as their heat to finish 8th. The U/15 girls also ran the 4x100m. The team of Kimberley Garcia, Jasmine Etheridge, Davina Peers, and Lilly Ebsworth came 3rd (53.5s) and also qualified for the final in which they finished 4th but unfortunately were disqualified due to some error on one of the take overs. Their time would have been about (53s).Their time for their heat was a club record, which had stood since 1996. The U/15 boys, Spencer Elphick, Kiran Gregory, Dylan Keeves and Ted Peachy chose to do the 4X300m relay. They came 4th in the heats but qualified as one of the fastest losers (3m06.8s). In the final they finished 8th but ran a faster time (3m 03.5) this is a new club record as this is the first time they have run this distance. The U/13 boys – Alex Stone, Max Sutton, Liam Simms and Harvey Fordham did an excellent job running in their 4x100m (60.2s). They were hampered by another runner who had entered their lane on the final changeover, which meant that last leg Harvey had to slow, and missed qualifying for the final. Despite a protest, nothing could be done to rectify the situation because the judge at the last changeover had put up a white flag, as he had missed the infringement.
