| On Wednesday evening we were blessed with a total of 18 runners taking part in the new undulating course for the Summer 5k handicap series. Despite the ups and downs I hope you all enjoyed the new out and back route giving you additional tactical advantages by seeing how far or close your fellow competitors (old and new) were by the half way point. First position and top scoring so far went to Jeanette Elliot, closely followed by second place Kirsty and the final podium position going to Emma Hollands (sorry, no chopping boards available). This does mean a deducted start time for event #2 but I’m sure that wont discourage you in the slightest. There were some fantastic results throughout including Ian Sutherland who managed to achieve a new 5k PB on this course too so well done to you Ian! I’d like to thank Mike Ridger for assisting in the time keeping and to Diana Tilston (with the help of Hannah) in taking their positions and marshalling at the half way turning point. Without these people volunteering we couldn’t make this event happen so thank you! Anyone else wishing to take part then please log in to the website and register your time.
