Paddock Wood Athletic ClubMonthly Mile Time Trial (Sept) 2015
Thirty Four club members ran a mile time trial at the P.W.A.C. track on Tuesday 22 September. James Ridger was the first man home an excellent performance after his exertions in Norfolk the previous weekend, first lady home was Emma Holland. The results were age-graded using the latest World Masters Association 2015 tables: http://www.howardgrubb.co.uk/athletics/wmalookup15.html. The leading score went to young Charles George with an age graded score of 75.81% excellent stuff; no surprise’s Emma was also leading lady with a score of 73.94%. Excellent scores all round with everybody gaining a grade. Well done one and all see you in October.

I would like to thank everyone involved in helping and running in the RNR this year. The team this year covered a distance of 195.73 miles, over17 legs in 23 hours, 01 minutes and 42 seconds- (7.04 minute miling). We finished 2nd in the prestigious club category class and 7th overall out of 54 teams- a great team performance. We entered the Club class category which requires at least 5 women and a minimum of 6 veterans; this is a true reflection of the clubs strengths.
This was our 17th year at the event and as usual is a really good team building weekend. As well as the 17 runners, the team was supported by Mike Ridger and Rob Weighell without their help it would be impossible to complete the race, so thank you!
Individual performances and results will be shown in the results section and are also shown on the RNR website- www.roundnorfolkrelay.com.
I don’t like highlighting individual performances as this really is a team race but it’s worth mentioning Claire Day and Maria Heslop both who were the quickest runners on their individual legs.
Next years race is on the 17-18th September 2016 so keep training hard and thank you everyone again!
